Question Vrotdronks versus Egg - query

    Hello,

We sent a letter off claiming back our charges from Eggicon credit card. Today we received the "we've received your complaint" letter saying they will resolve to solve it quickly etc and that they have to acknowledge our complaint in 5 days and resolve it within 4 weeks.

What next - sorry, been looking for the answer but can't find it ...do we wait until they get back in touch???

    Many thanks for advice!!

This is the tail end of the holidayicon season, not sure if Eggicon is under-staffed.

Not aware if Egg has started hardening their co-operative stance on refunding, in the light of a tsunami of court cases against banks now being stayed against claimants' wishes from John O'Groats to Lands End. But if this courthouse atmosphere continues to get worse, it could influence credit card managements, you never know.

No harm making a polite, persuasive phone callicon to Egg to hurry things on (taking pot luck on which Eggployee answers), or writing to the respected Egg manager, Ema Clayton.

    Thanks for the advice Mistermind,
We are only concerned about calling incase it opens a can of worms as the original debt hasbeen passed on to Crapquest and the old Eggicon account has been closed for over 3 and a half years now... We are toying with the idea of leaving it and seeing if they respond with their 'normal' initial low settlement offer and then pursuing it, or do you think it would still be beneficial to write to one of the named people you mention?
    Thanks again,
    Vrotdronk

There is no indication so far that Eggicon is stalling on you, at the tail end of the holidayicon season. The letter said they were working on it. I would not be surprised if the smallest, simplest claims get priority attention, along with the best laid-out itemised claims, unencumbered by a long letter requiring detailed attention.

So long as claims are itemised and easily checkable against Egg records, I have never read of any closed accounts not receiving equal treatment for refund.
