    Default 50% Offer

    Hi

Barclaysicon(The Woolwich) Have offered me 50% of what they owe me, of course I wiil not except this.

Could Anyone please advice if the following letter is ok to send at this stage.

    Many Thanks

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    letter before actionicon

    Dear ---------------

    ACCOUNT NUMBER: xxxxxxxxx

I refer to your letter dated 8th March.
I have noted your offer and I am not prepared to except it as the full indebtedness is £XXXX.
I would draw your attention to the terms of the contract which you agreed to at the time that I opened my account. It is an implied term of that contract that you would conduct yourselves lawfully and in a manner which complies with UK law.

I am frankly shocked that you have operated my account in this way as I had always reposed confidence in your integrity and expertise as my fiduciary.

I calculate that you have taken £XXXXX plus £XXX which you have charged me in overdrafticon interest for the sum which you have taken. Total £XXXXX

I require repayment in full of this money. If you do not comply fully within 14 days then I shall begin a claim against you for the full amount plus interest plus my costs and without further notice.

    Yours faithfully,

Seems that Barclaysicon are taking the route of offering 50% back.

Your letter seems OK to me.

I like that, however you find that they will probably get you to sign a compromise agreement.
Therefore, you could not carry on with your claim

    Default Just a little thing

    Hi enigma,

Your letter is great just one little pernickety thing:

Can you change except to 'accept' as that is the correct english.

    Good luck with your case!

    Kat x
