Hi all
Here we go again!!!
Was paying the above £5.00 per month for ages (intrest had been stopped) then sent CCA request to them on 17th July
Two days later got a letter off them saying time to increse the offer. They re-accepted my £5.00 a month.
Just got my Statement today and they have put nearly £150.00 interest on and a £12.00 overlimit fee (the date this was added was 21st August)
There 12 days have passed and there 12+2+30 days is very close.
Dont know what to do has anybody got any idea as I thought they cannot add interest if they are in default, and why have they started adding interest after nearly 2 years.
If they're unable to comply with your CCA request... then they can add what they like (even though they're not meant to), since none of it will be enforceable.
It sounds as if they're trying to unnerve you, after accepting token payments for so long.... If they do comply, deal with it then. While they remain in default however, they can do nothing to enforce it.
PLEASE NOTE: I AM NO LONGER AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THIS FORUM AND FROM FEBRUARY 2012, WILL RESPOND TO POSTS ON SUBSCRIBED THREADS ONLY.
Also I would make an official complaint to Sainsbury's. If they don't deal with it to your satisfaction (or haven't replied after 8 weeks) you can then go to the fos.
