Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I've just decided to represent myself (GULP) and go to court after reading many threads about council tax better to go than not to. .... having just discovered my own eligibility for SMI. (Thank you CAG!!)
Wish me luck as I am going to try to get this back to the council and not get a liability order. I will be providing court my disability allowance had for four years and letter from specialist as to 'Condition' and SMI eligibility.
I've just offered payment and agreed arrangement plan over 6 months to which the Council as to new findings appear ok. However recently noted a comment from another fine CAG'ER of must pay 'history' or arrears rather than current when making payments on council tax and to instruct them to do that ... wondering as to catch?
