Thread: Egg Statements - Charge For Cash Advances

Hello,

I have received all my statments from Egg (they are even refunding me £5 for the SAR, whereas Lloyds took the whole £10....)

With it being a credit card, I understand I can claim back:-
LATE CHARGES
UNPAID DD FEE
OVERLIMIT CHARGE

But can I reclaim "CHARGE FOR CASH ADVANCES"? This appears a lot, but isn't attached to any individual transaction.

Cash advance fees, were they I believe 1.5% of withdrawal value, being entirely lawful are not reclaimable.

You received Egg's £5 abridged listing of charges only (hence £5 out of £10 refunded to you), excluding purchases or cash advance transactions. Had you specified the full £10 option you would have received print of all transactions including cash advances after a wait of 4 to 6 weeks, in a bundle of papers one inch thick.
