Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I tried reclaiming further charges from RBS. (Successfully claimed previously)
This time though, I received a letter from the regional manager saying I had to find alternative banking facilities within 30 days (letter was dated 2nd June, so I make that about 1st July -ish). They said they are "unhappy at the way I have run my account " !!!
Today tried to get money from my account, but they have cleared funds and I am not able to withdraw any money. They have also put a block on my internet account.
Phoned various departments, but they had all closed till tomorrow. Spoke to man at internet dept, who said I have to phone back tomorrow. Trouble is I work 4.30 am till 5pm, so I cannot do so.
Anyway, told him I think a criminal offence has been committed by RBS and was going to the police.
Do you think I should do or will I be wasting theirs and my time.
Afterall, if I had taken money from them, I think they would involve the police....
Just had exactly the same thing happen to me. Business account closed, internet banking turned off, and received a letter this morning wanting full repayment of the business loan and overdraft.
