Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Couldn't help but laugh at this very un-PC banner ad I saw. It's advertising Western Union - in particular how you can send money to India and Pakistan.
They've created a little image of a Sikh gentleman - turban, curly moustache, white eyes
???...Is NOT the OP's Post a breach of the Websites Rules re: Racism??? http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...ease-read.html
???...Is NOT the OP's Post also a breach of the Websites Rules re: Unauthorised Advertising???
Does NOT the reproduction of the said advert, only re-enforce the Stereotypical views that the OP purports to abhor???
Why the stressing of "WHITE eyes"???
Does the OP NOT realise that ALL humans have WHITE surrounds to their Irises???
...This is regardless of their Race, Creed, Sex etc!!!
P.S. btw...Is the character depicted from East Kilbride??...lol...
Oh dear, I see I'm going to have to take this back, but you did say that you'd had a couple of people say it was scary and it's just my humble opinion ... maybe I'm just a wuss but I liked the other one better. Your choice though, of course
What Is Wrong with that advert, it was their advert not ours.
Problem with people today is that they read too much into everything.
I still have two sets of Golliwogs from the Robertson Jam days. My sisters still have their Golliwogs from their childhood, I can still buy Golliwogs from my local market. Or, am I now to be placed in Purdah because I called a Golliwog a Golliwog? And what about the Black sheep that live down the lane? Get things back into proportion, worry more about the things that count, instead of someone's (supposed) injured feelings.
Was a time we all just got on with life no matter what was said or done to us and so called 'Stereo-Types' have also been around since the beginning of time, but life still carried on. Sadly now everyone is looking for the slightest excuse to 'Kick Off'.

There was an article in yesterday's Daily Mail about how 'PC' seems to have screwed up everyone's lives. I am totally against anything hurtful, but as the saying goes 'Sticks and stones etc'. Between the 'PC' Brigade and the 'Elf and Safety' lot it makes getting on with life very tiresome.
