Thread: Slightly off topic - an employee on mortgage administration

In response to a BBC piece on mortgage lenders' administration fees:-

I actually work for a leading financial institution and can say from a position of authority that these charges are a scandal.
In a great deal of cases, particularly when the customer takes out a new product with the same provider, all it takes is a five minute input into a computer programme which my employers charge up to £800 for.
Yet again the gullible public are hammered.
