Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Just starting my claim against Barclaycard. Would like to know if there is a list of successful claims (similar to the lloydstsb forum) available on the site.
I intend to claim CCI, have there been many successes doing this and if so what has been the largest amount.
Thanks for the info. I sent my SAR and received all the info that I had requested just over ONE WEEK later. This has been the second fastest response (cap onefive days and special delivery) out of a large number of requests made to banks . The covering letter suggested that I was only entitled to info going back to 2004 (the old microfilm excuse) but, as a goodwill gesture to me their customer (their words not mine)they had enclosed all info since the account was opened in 2002.
So up to now no real problems, I just need to work out all the charges + CCI and send off my prelim.

Thanks for asking this Q as I would like to have access to this info myself. However, from the link provided the Wiki does not seem to worki ...:o
I also received my SAR info (exactly the last 6 years worth) within 10 days of sending it, and the largest covering letter to date saying why they shouldn't have bothered! Made me laugh!!!
I smell a rat with this, and I don't know what it is - maybe the have someone from the ICO down on work-experience or are being audited by them at this very moment in time! lol

It does seem rather strange at how quick they have responded given their past record for being ultra difficult in providing anything.
Another strange thing though is the amount of info I am receiving from cap one. Received another two large packages today containing information that they had already sent but in a slightly different format. Each package has been sent by special delivery at a cost of £5.00 a time (thats £15.00 up to now) and marked IMPORTANT INFORMATION ENCLOSED (not wrong there). They seem to be falling over themselves to provide me with the info and I can't work out why.
