Thread: Alliance & leicester debt collectors!!

just wondering. I am pretty sure my directions hearing is stayed just waiting for official notification. If it is stayed what are the chances of getting it lifted as I received a letter from the morons at A&L a couple of days agao telling me my account had been closed and they are contacting debt collection bods to recover the outstanding amount. surely that is a) putting me into financial hardship and b) showing that alliance are not honouring the spirit of the stay as the amount they are chasing is far and away less than i am claiming from them?

Well i rang cardiff court yesterday and was told all cases were being stayed. dont know if this is the case but i'm still planning on turning up on the 14th unless i get a notification before that. If i do i'll send in one of the letters objecting too the stay and copies of the letters about the account being closed by A&L and a copy of the one saying the debt has been sent to DC agency and see if that can prick (freudian slip there!!!) the judges conscience a bit. It does seem incredibly unfair tbh and seeing as my finances have improved over the last year or so that money was gonna send me and she that must be obeyed on a nice little trip to the med somewhere. I did say to the clerk that my claim was against one of the banks not in the test case but she seemed to think it made no diff and it was a case of tuff really. i sincerely hope the high court dont bottle it and come up with the true figure of costs around the £2 mark i wont mind going overdrawn then lol
