Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Had a HP agreement with PSA finance, after 2 years I returned the car under the voluntary termination terms. Now they are chasing me for payment of just over £500, this was broken down as follows; repairing a scratch on a side panel, incomplete service history, and replacing the rear seat which was corroded.
The car was purchased brand new, and service interval was every 2 years and it had a 3 year manufacturers warranty too.
Do these charges seem reasonable? Can they be enforced? They are now threatening court action if I don't pay up and I can't afford this amount of money any more. This is the main reason why the car was returned to them in the first place.
