Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hiya's not been online for awhile, I recieved my transfer of courts letter about 3 weeks ago, since then I have heard nothing from Bank, Wragge or the court, should I ring court just to see what is going?
it was about three or four weeks after transfer that I had a letter first confirming trf and a draft order saying probably no aq ( but that is up to the local judge) and then several more weeks before I got a date.
But I am sure a quick call wont hurt. It may take a while at the moment as each court decides what to do in view of test case - so more delays are probably inevitable.

offer from A&L 24/8/07 - after case stayed
"What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well." - Antione de Saint Exupery
Saw your other post - may still be worth reading this in case they do go in to appeal for a stay -
My sending the bundle and a nudge right at the last minute to A&L and Wragges seemed to work - see my thread moved to successes today.
As soon as i told them I was appealing aginst the stay - it was a case of "see who blinks first"
Can you just post on here - brief update
eg hearing date and date for documents etc?

Thx Jan, i will keep you upto date on what goes on, ty for link i will read it
I have had no request for documents yet, I recieved a letter from A&L today (24th Aug) saying that they are going to ask for a stay, Should i send a letter to A&L saying that I phoned Romford county court and that they have told me that there is no chance of the bank getting a stay, so see you in court?
Ref case number XXXXX between XXXX and A&L
I refer to the proposed stay on the above case
I would just like to notify you that although your clients are of course entitled to request a stay the final decision is a matter for the preciding judge at XXXX court. at the moment I have not received notification of a stay so as far as I am concerned the case will be proceeding. If I do receive notification from the court I will be appealing against the stay on several points.
(sorry answering lots of posts today - if you have a court case date add)- as far as I am concerned the case on XXX is going ahead.
I would appreciate an acknowledgement of this correspondence.
Just a suggestion
