Default OFT test case and Barclaycard

Does this test case mean that credit card claims are also suspended? Or is it just for bank accounts?

People should continue to file claims. This does not change that fact. The only thing that has been waived is the FSA complaints procedure. Of course, the courts will doubtless stay any new cases, but claimants are at liberty to apply to have any stays lifted and I think they should do so.

Bear in mind also that this does not apply to any other kind of claim for penalty charges, it appears to be aimed squarely at fees for overdrafts, not credit cards, loans, mortgageicon penalty fees etc.

    So carry on with claims.

so this means a bank case can still be carried out if there are no unauthorised overdrafts in the case files.

well only have 2 of them might leave them out for now. plus they are close to the 6 yr mark.
