Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have followed all FAQ re my claim with A & L, I am now at a stage where i rejected their first offer.
Claiming 4092.00 - offered 1539.00
Now i have received a letter back saying:
We have know carried out a final review of your complaint and write to inform you of our conclusions.
I have read all the correspondence surrounding your complaint and i am sorry you remain dissatisfied with the settlement offer previously provided to you. i am aware that a full investigation has been conducted into this matter and can confirm that our position remains unchanged.
Know they tell me to take my complaint to the financial Ombudsman.
I intend to send reject letter N° 3 - AM i doing the right thing, or is there anything extra i need to include, or do i take to the ombudsman as instructed?
You have already sent them a letter refusing their 'most kind and generous offer', once the necessary time is up, it's up to you which road you go down. You can just go ahead and start your claim, either online or thru the court, you can get in touch with the fos, the form etc can be found either on the forum here or on Money Saving Expert: Consumer Revenge - Credit Cards, Shopping, Bank Charges, Cheap flights and more
You can either just go the FOS route, the court route, or do as I did, have the two running together, the FOS will stay on your case right up to the court date, after that any decision made by the court, is Final.
The FOS route does not give you either compound interest or the court's 8% interest, but does give you back 100% of your claim.
Either send the 3rd letter, which we both know is a complete waist! of time, or just go for the Jugular and start your claim. Either way, it's still business as usual.
