Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I just about to send my 1st letter to Barclaycard requesting my account info, put I am a bit worried that they will ask me to pay off my credit card if I go ahead and make a claim against them. I currently owe a lot on my card, and i was just wondering if anyone else is in this situation and if they went ahead and claimed and what the outcome was etc?
They can't close your account whilst it is in dispute - if they did, they would have to give you 30days notice, givign you time to report them to the Information Comminssioner.
Chances are you would be ok!
Also, worth adding a CCA bit to your letter - just in case they don't hold an agreement with you! (Find out about CCA by searching it using the search link)

You'll be OK, they'll just credit the amount you finally get back from them to your card.
