Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I wrote to Barclays asking for full refund of charges taken over six years which, predictably, they refused. I then sent a lba and still nothing. The total came to around £1800 but I now find I can only afford the Court Fee to claim back £300 initially. Can I continue from the LBA stage or do I need to start again because it's a smaller amount than that mentioned in the letters, which will need to be sent to the Court at some point?
ask the court if you can pay the fee when the case is complete and normally they are very understanding, or you might not have to pay all the fee if you show you are on some sort of low income or cannot afford to pay.
