Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi everyone, feeling a bit fed up to-day. Having spent lots of time preparing various reports on various cc's still chasing our family despite not supplying cca's and SAR's and sending it to local TS had 'phone conversation with our local TS who said that whilst it is my right to do this, creditors could go to court and say that having the statements proves we've had the money.
Pointed out that one of the CAG members has just won a case using the Wilson case but they say it is not within their remit to do anything and pointed me in the direction of Clearstart and CAB - grrr I have already been there!!! Is there any point in complaining to the OFT or the Information Commissioner's Office if that is the kind of response? What is the point of having the rules and regs of the CCA if TS won't act
As TS have basically washed their hands of this issue you next recourse if the OFT.
It might be worth talking to the CAB, but they will probably point your to TS again.
Thanks for that Curlyben, I won't be going the CAB route as we had a better system i.e. CCCS - still didn't stop Citibank getting up to no good! Going to keep on fighting with the help of everyone here!
You can also report the unhelpful trading standards department. You say you had a phone conversation with them - well go and see them. Ask for their names, ask for details of their refusal to act in writing. Ask or the names of the senior officers, ask you councillor to go with you to the meeting. The door shouldn't have been closed on you so quickly.
Thanks for your support NailPost, unfortunately, matter of working full time and ancient old car plus quite a long way, not good on confrontation either but feeling more upbeat to-day despite yet more rain!!
