Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I had a funny start to mine! Cheered with my recent full settlement offer from Barclays for my current account. I have now decided to place Barclaycard as my next target.
I visited my local Barclays branch and the very nice man got me my old B'card account number, he said that it had only been closed about 2 months ago. I expressed surprise as I had previously entered into a debt management Plan via CCCS and my B'card balance had been in part written off and in part paid by myself at least 3 or 4 years ago. Anyway, I rang a number that I'd got off the CAG site to check my account number and how to go about getting copy statements. The lady I spoke to said that there was a balance of £137 outstanding! I explained that I didn't understand how there could be and if there was, why they hadn't contacted me to get it paid. She didn't know but did give me the details of who to send of SAR to. I have now sent that!
Natwest next tho I'm already having problems getting them to locate my account number as the account was way prior to 2002!
