Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi, can anyone tell me if i commited an offence by using my maiden name on Egg card. I want to send SAR but my name is not the same as on the account. Egg have sent default and DLC/Hillsden are dealing with it, have sent CCR to Hillsden on 4th July.
Any comments appreciated. Thanks
I am pretty sure you can use whatever name you like so long as you are doing it honestly (ie not trying to commit fraud, for example - Cherie Blair does it!). You should write to them in whatever name is on the card. If you want to explain that you have changed your name, then fine.

No dont worry I dont think it is, I got married in Italy and my marriage looks very odd (dont worry it is legal) and I have not changed all my details as I only have a single marriage certficate. As long as you continue to pay the card its fine. When I sent it my claims I also said I have changed my name here is a copy of my marriage certficate as I was worried that if I got a cheque I could not cash it.
