8) hi just asked for statements from coop past six years under limitations act 1980, and only recieved from june 2001.sent another letter today they have 32 days to comply under the data protection 1998. has any one got statements past six years and won with coop
Yes, my wife did.
She got statements going back to 6 years and a few months and successfully claimed back all charges.
They then sent another years statements which they suddenly found and I am now in the process of claiming back those charges (they say its statute barred) http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...son-co-op.html
hi phatram, they sent statments going back from june 2001 but know more at present have sent another stating they have 32 more days to send other statments otherwise i will go to court for non compliance they sent statments 17-43 so i need to recieve statments 1-17 do you think they will send them?
Hi.....I found some old statements going back to 1989! all consectutive and will now start another claim for these extra £1700+ in charges. They did'nt call them charges then, they preferred to call it 'Commission' and on one occasion dated 13th Jan 89, I was charged £10.44 Debit interest plus £24.40 Commission, plus £3.00 service charge for bing just £14.12 overdrawn!!
However, dispite what-ever terms they used to descibe thier excessive charges, they were still taking them without permission. I will now begin another claim to have them returned with interest.
By the way does anyone know how to calculate the interest on these charges going back to Jan 1989?? Any help appreciated.
