    Default Me v them......help merci

    Hi all

Just started my refund claim against my previous bank A&L .

Anyway, I sent off my Prel approach for repayment letter and few days later got one basicually saying that the "OFT findings considered the level of late payment fees to be unfair, however, they were actually referring to late payment fees for credit card payments, which are quite distinct from bank fee's on current accounts"

now i have a feeling this is rubbish and the letter concludes that I wont be getting a refund.

Am i right in thinking that I need to send a lbaicon???

    thanks

    Hello Chris,

We seem to be at a similar point, so I thought I would jump on this thread. I sent A&L the letter requesting £5300 on 15/06, received reply on 20/06 stating that the charges were correct - so there. Sent them second request lbaicon on 25/06 for charges + interesticon. Received a letter today dated 02/07, thanking me for the letter; they are looking into it and will get back to me asap. I gave the A&L 14 days on the 25/06, they have replied in 7 days. Is there any prospect of them doing anything to resolve this claim, or is this a standard 'stalling' letter to delay any court action against them? Would I be better just waiting the 14 days then starting action via MCOL? This is my first claim so I am a bit green.

    Thanks

    N£m£sis.
