Default Change a claim to from 8% interest to contractual interest?

    Hi,
This is my first posting. I began reclaiming bank charges via info on Moneysavingexpert.com.
09.05.07 - sent first letter to A&L listing charges of £743.50 which was rejected.
    21.05.07 - threatened court claim - A&L offered £35.00 - which I rejected!
18.06.07 - MCOL claim issued and 8% interesticon claimed.
    21.06.07 - A&L offered the £35.00 again and £80.00 court fee.
22.06.07 - Wragge & Co intention to defend.
29.06.07 - Wragge & Co served what appears to be a standard defence.

From reading many informative threads I wonder if I should have claimed at the contractual rate of interest. Can I still do this or am I too far in to the process. If I can change what is the procedure and what calculator do I use?

    Hello,

If you are going to claim CI, you need to do so from the very beginning of your claim, so you cannot change halfway through.

You will find the spreadsheet here

    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...eadsheets.html

and details on CI are found in the general forum. Have a very good read, and make sure you understand CI before you commence this course of action

    Good luck

    Louis
