Default Smile's convenient "Never Received" excuse

Just trying to get a feel for how many people have sent a letter to Co-Op Bank or Smile and didn't send it recorded delivery and it turns out they "didn't receive" it. Is this something that only happens to SARs or do they regularly lose cheques and other mail sent to them?

I've sent 2 letters to Smile - one 15th May making a gbp1 per month offer for debts I can't currently afford - I received no reply and they wouldnt acknowledge receipt over the phone - I sent another recorded delivery 6th June and they don't asknowledge receipt of this either even though it was signed for on 9th june. Funnily enough though I have had probably upto 100 phone callsicon from then which just rings for 1 rings since sending this letter and 1 answered phone callicon from a very nasty lady who told me that I shouldn't be spending money on food when I have a debt with them!! tee hee don't care any more I'm going to be nice the reasonable ones and ignore the nasties - except of course for sending a CCA request.

It's strange isn't it that they never seem to lose cheques that are written to them?

When I banked with Smile, I tried to pay a cheque into my account using their self addressed envelope system, which I thought was faultless....wrong...they "never received any cheque, sir"....don't trust them....
