Just thought I let you all know that I am helping my daughter to claim against the nat west.Have sent her DPA and awaiting reply.

She (Jo) will be sitting down today to go through the forum and help with our claims.
I'm very angry that she has had so many charges put on her account ans they (Natwest) know that she is a single mother and was on IS at the time. Why are the charges with these banks the same for people on IS as They are for rick people?? It doesn't seem fair to me!

they are "unfair" for everyone (in both a legal and moral/ethical sense) - particularly for a single mum on IS!! but that is why we are all pursuing successful claims against them!

Hopefully we'll get something back for her!

My daughter has a reply from the Nat West to her lba for charges levid against her bank account to be returned,It says :-


We believe that are charges are fair, reasonable and transparent...

We have considered the Office of Fair Trading's statement of 5 April 2006 and do not accept it's findings in relation to the setting of credit card fees. We are concerned that the Office of Fair Trading has publicly called into question the setting of charges applied to other products, including current accounts. The Office of Fair Trading has restricted it's investigation to credit cards and made no attempt to consult with the RBS Group or the industry in relation to other entirely different products.

Consiquently with must differ with your views...
Whilst I hope you will reconsider court action if you do decide to go ahead please ensure proceedings are served on our Registered Office address which appears below... 135 Bishopsgate London

So it looks like we will have a fight on our hands, so could someone tell me if I should write back acknowledging the letter but at the same time ignoring it or just write and remind them that they only have one week left before I send a reminder and a second chance to repay the charges.
I hope this all makes sence.
