Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Have been following your guidelines to the letter with regards to claiming back bank charges. Alliance & Leicester offered me a paltry sum of £66 just over a week ago and said that they would not close my account! (they should have checked their records they had already closed it and are threatening me with a default, even though it was them charging me that kept taking me over the limit every time!)
I sent a rejection letter last week, and today they have responded with tough, charges are fair, blah, blah, blah.
I know I have to submit a MC, the questions I have are that
1. I live in Scotland, so is there a list of courts that I can use to find the one nearest to me?
2. What are the fees for the Scottish Courts, I assume they will be different?
3. Do I still use the forms listed in the templates section for claiming via the Scottish Courts? (a daft question I know, sorry.)
4. The interest calculation for the S69 is confusing me, how can I work out that figure to give the court a sum of everything owed.
Hope this makes sense, having problems getting my head round this.
