Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.

Since the site is very much geared to reclaiming bank charges, I thought it might be a eye opener if we found out who had the largest.... total bank charges in any one month.
I don't know for sure, but guessed it might be easier for a company to run up larger charges than an individual, so if you post a reply, let us know if it is COMPANY or PERSONAL and of course the total.
I've already seen larger than mine (steady...) but since I'm posting first, I can at least take comfort from pretending to have once been in the lead!
Remember, there is no prize, so let's not exagerate for effect Here goes....

I once remember seeing about £2,000 in two months quite recently.
So about £1,000 a month then but i can't remember who she was (and wouldn't say even if i could recall it because of data protection regulations! )
(Yes I work for a bank but am here to help! Please be nice to me! )
A whole hour and a half in the lead...! I never thought my effort would stay in front for so long

The lovely Lloyds did me for £315 in January which meant I couldn’t honour a number of direct debits And hay-presto another £210 in February which was really helpful of them! That’s £525 in two months of MY money unlawfully siphoned from my account.
No wonder they are dragging there heals with my DPA request.

Not checked mine monthly, but I have just received all my statements back to 2000 and my total charges since then are £7889. Not sure how to proceed now being as its well over the £5000 - is this a record???

£600.14 for month of March. Charged by lovely Lloyds TSB.
After sitting there in tears of frustration, because my whole disability allowance was swallowed by the bastards, I got my tits together and prepared another claim, which is due to be filed on 2nd of May.
Ive been charged a total of £2771.00 between about a year and a half from Natwest.
Ive sent them a letter before action. (incidently this was the 1st letter i sent but now realise i shouldnt have sent this one 1st, i think)
They have responded with a letter offering me £575.00 as a gesture and for me to agree that it would be final and that i wont give any detials to third parties.
I have declined this and the 14 days deadline is monday so going to have to start the court proceedings now!

Seems like I am on top (oooh aaah, matron) with my £600 a month. And it is only because last month's charges thrown my tight budget so much out of line that I could not manage all the dd's, o/draft limit went to screw itself...and so on.
aaanyway, at least I WILL GET IT BACK this time. Do you remember how hopeless we felt few months ago?

Why don't you claim for the years 2000 - 2003, then move on to the next half afterwards?
Please don't hijack the original post - it makes it far too difficult for people to follow any specific case. If karen69 needs advice, then she (I presume) should make a seperate thread.....
