Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I recently did the letter asking for the unlawful charge to be refunded (approx £450 inc. interest). I noticed approximately £150 had been refunded to my account soon after and a letter to follow saying after a review by the financial Ombudsman of bank charges, that this was the amount they should give back as they can charge up to £10 or so.
I take it I can proceed to the court stage to reclaim the rest?
I to was suprised by the deposit in my account when i went online yesterday. They have refunded the difference between £20 and £12.
I was more please dwith their speedy response I only sent off my letter requesting my charges + interest on 20th June and by the 25th June they had credited my account.

They are inundated However on the discovery of the surprise I prepared a letter before action and sent it off today. Got in from work today and there was the 'Sorry letter' about how 'sorry' they were. Mmmmmmm!
