Anyone dealt with Parking Eye???? They want£70 from me!
I have just received a ticket from a company called Parking Eye. I apparently overstayed my welcome in a carpark monitored by them. I was allowed 2hrs but stayed a whole 20 minutes extra. They are requesting that I pay £70 which will be reduced to £40 if I pay before July10 which is of course, very generous of them!? Nonetheless, I do not want to give this lot one penny.
I have been very impressed by the amount and also the depth of information provided by this forum and feel that I could use it to my advantage.
Are they just another bunch of money grabbers intimidating us or do they have the ability, should I refuse to pay it, to pursue this in a criminal rather than civil format? If I refuse, will the information provided here be enough to get rid of them? Also, if I refuse, what should I expect and how far might it go?

Everytime they write to you, just reply asking them to issue a summons. Something like, Dear Sir, I am in receipt of your letter dated ........ the points of which are noted. Please be advised to issue the summons which will be defended.
They wont issue.
