Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I got two letters earlier this month from BOS saying I had gone over my overdraft etc and BOS were going to charge me £20 in each case, £40 in total!
However, on my statement the transaction for the first charge did not make sense as it did not make me overdrawn, the second one did put me overdrawn.
I phoned up and spoke to, surprisingly for BOS, a friendly opperator who said the bank has decided not to take off the first charge but had already taken the second.
I simply asked what were the chances of getting that charge refunded, he said no problem. Success!!
Today I got a bank credit of £80! (no idea where the extra £60 came from!)
