    Default contract hire......

    my mate has a van on contract hire, his business is window cleaner, he now has come into posession of a car that he can use, the contract van he has had for 2 years, the contract is over 3, how can he hand the keys back without incurring any penalties. or is it just a case of tough luck.

    Read the terms & conditons of the contract hire agreement. Most stipulate 50% of outstanding rentals have to be paid.
