Offer letter from Barclays states that in can take up to 10 working days to credit my account with the money, does anyone know if they normally take the full 10 days?

It is going into my Barclays account, phoned them today and they said they have to work through them fairly so can take the full 10 days, just a fob off or are they really that busy?
Hi stormatron - my son had a settlement letter last Friday and faxed back to them same day - court date was yesterday 3rd - Barclays said it should be in his account by Mon 2nd last thing or the 3rd am - it wasn't - I am still waiting to hear from son to see if it has been deposited today - I faxed the court with info yesterday to ask for adjournment as I had electronic correspondence plus settlement letter proving their acceptance - so watch this space!
