Default Online credit card applications and CCA

How does the CCA process work in regards to online application of credit cards ?
Applied in 10/2005, received back T&C's with pescribed terms, but no signatures.

I've just read somewhere that the law was changed in 2003 with regard to on line applications to say that signatures are not required, I think. Sorry, can't remember where I saw it, I've read so much this evening :o

HFC Bank - First letter claiming £196/LBA sent/£75 offered/rejected/Claim filed
HFC Bank Take 2 - Statements received
    A & L - Prelim sent/LBA sent
    Barclays (for my Dad) - Awaiting statements/LBA for S.A.R. sent/Statements received/Prelim sent/LBA sent
A & L (for my Son) - Awaiting statements/Statements arrived Prelim letter sent/£280 offered and rejected
Abbey (for my Sister) - ***Won***
    Barclays PPI claim
    Studio - ***Won***
    HSBC - (for my brother-in-law) ***Won*** 8-)

Here is the order you need.

The Consumer Credit Act 1974 (Electronic Communications) Order 2004

So long as the website you are using has a means for you to commit, it would be treated like an electronic signatureicon. I'm about to get off to bed but if you PM me I'll dig out more info if you need it in the morning.

OK so call me Mr Thicky Thick from Thicksville.
    What exactly is required ?

Scarey when I work in IT.
Bear in mind electronic signatures mean something different to me.
Is it a simple, "tick this box" and click "I agree" or something more involved ??

Be VERY careful whose advice you listen too

    i think it is.

I recently took out a loan with one of the big 4. it was as simple as that. I filled in the application and had the money within about 2 mins. Pretty scary eh?
