I started my claim ages ago, the bank made me an offer of £542 (my claim is for £1029), so following some advice i rejected the offer, then, wragges sent me their defence, then the court sent me a copy and i rang the courts today to be told that it's going to the high court and my court date is aug 29th, i was just wondering if anyone could advise me on what i need to do next...do i need to send anything to the wragges ppl or the bank or even to the courts?
In my claim all i have is the copy of me statements highlighting me charges and i copied me claim thing from the bbc news website, it quoted the dunlop case and witters about how the charges are unfair.
Any help would be much appreciated, i can't believe A&L drag this out so much!
dont know why your claim is going to the high court ? best pm a moderator for that one.
as for now, see links for the court bundle get all the info you can. i believe all the information you need is in the library.you have to look for it tho, youll need a statement of evidence, also copies of your schedule of charges and copies of your bank statements.dont throw anything away keep a copy on paper is my advice(then, if your pc crashes like mine, youve got a copy)

Donna, When you say high court. I think you might mean a Mercantile Court. Which is the next court up from a county court. You will be grouped up with alot of other claims on the same day. Which court is it please ? http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...urt-guide.html

Its your money taken unlawfully from your account and you have a legal right to claim it back.
I received some post from the courts today, they state it's gone to the Leeds mercantile court.
Do A&L make you go to court? or do they usually pay out just before the court date?
From reading loads of threads, it appears they normally try to "negotiate" a settlement before court, though they obviously try for a smaller amount, e.g. minus interest and perhaps court costs. There is someone scheduled to attend court this Friday in Ireland, if it gets that far.
As there are quite a few court appearances scheduled in the near future, keep an eye on these threads. One thing' for sure, A&L/Wragge have never, as far as I'm aware, attended a full hearing ... they have recently attended a preliminary hearing though.
Good luck with your claim... I'm in the same boat as you with A&L and got same hearing as you on 29th August at Leeds Mercantile (can't wait)...
If you go on to the main 'Mercantile hearing Leeds 28th June' and keep an eye on 'j.barton1' (Jenny) she is at mercantile court today with A&L. I've heard from 'mothership' that no one turned up to represent A&L but still not heard if claim has been settled. I expect there will be more updates on this thread when people get home... Fingers crossed...
Keep in touch and we can compare notes and I expect A&L will drag us all the way....

Sorry for the delay in replying but been working...
Don't know if you managed to have a read of the mercantile hearing on 28th June but here's the link - if you read through it and look for j.barton, she is still waiting to hear from A&L about her claim... judge gave them another 28 days to sort it out... (they really do drag it out don't they)..
If you read all the links to the mercantile then you don't need to do court bundle, just fill out the case management info sheets which court send you .. there's a list of all the paperwork you need to take on the links. There's also a new thread for the hearing on 29th August and this has useful info too.... Just spend as much time as you can reading all the threads as it really does help...
I'll keep you posted if I hear anything from court or Wragge & Co...
Keep smiling, only 59 days to go (and counting)...
