Default Can I appeal against this?

I was parked outside my friend's house, on a single yellow line for a few minutes, and I didn't see the sign that said the restricted hours. The side of the road you can park on changes several times a day. I couldn't see the times, since the sign was sprayed out with paint.

I went into my friend's house at 1:10pm, it changes at 1:15pm, which I didn't know. My car was 'seen' there at one 1:19pm and then 1:24pm. I came out to my car at literally 1:25pm, so I was just literally a minute off.

    Can I appeal this?

    Thanks.

Yes - if the signage was defaced or unreadable then you need to appeal on those grounds.

I would suggest you take some photos of the signs at the location as soon as possible, as I have no doubt the local authority will reject your initial representations.
