Having been charge £34.00 by my bank for a failed direct debit to my car insurance firm, i have also been charged £25.00 by my car insurance group as well, any advice on this? i know the charge my bank has made is illegal and have already taken steps to resolve this but what about the car insurance charge, can they do this? surely it falls under the same catagory as the bank charge (dispropotunate to actual costs incured) seems all are jumping on this "get rich of the skink little people"

any advice gratefully recieved

cheers

if you are paying by installments then you have signed a credit agreement.

use the same process for them using the credit card version of the cca letter.

  • 2 months later...

it will be in the library templates section

see the faq's or step by step instructions

on the home page of CAG.

just be careful about using the words legal/illegal. not so.

unlawful might be better .
