    Default MCOL- Bank have settled

    My brother has gone through MCOL and the deadline was up on the 20th for the defence, was going to send the 7 day letter and then go for judgement, but today he got a letter offering the full amount as a GOGW.

    What does he do with MCOL now?

    Does he claim judgement on the basis that the defendant has admitted the claim?

    I normally go down the N1 route, but not sure how this works.

    I dont think that unfortunately that they can be deemed to have admitted the claim when they are offering a goodwill paymenticon.

    I would send the 7 day letter if I were you. Advise them if they don't want judgement entering against them they to pay in full before the 7 days expires.

    They have sent him a cheque with the letter, so does he just write to N'hampton CC and advise the claim is now settled?
