BOS - Anyone else had this letter?

I sent LBA with a deadline of 28th Nov. I got the usual fob-off letter, dated Dec 6th, with their leaflet., which I didn't reply to. I have the forms from the Sheriff Court and hope to hand them in next week.
Today, out of the blue, I got this:-

Further to our letter of 6th December, 2006, I'm sorry that you have not yet had a full response to your concerns.
We're still investigating your complaint and you will receive a response from us as soon as possible, but certainly no later than 1st February, 2007.
Our complaints leaflet, which we sent to you previously, (which I binned without reading) explains how we will handle your complaint.
Your concerns will be dealt with as quickly as possible, but to help us deal more efficiently with your enquiry, please quote xxxxxxxxxx when writing or telephoning the number at the top of the letter.

Has anyone else had this? Is it just another fob off letter? Should I just go ahead with the court claim, anyway?
The guy in the Sheriff Court office told me there was no time limit for starting the claim.

As Garyhay said, carry on. That letter is just another attempt to hijack your timetable and delay you.

Your action....Your money....Your claim....Your timetable.
