Default Inverness/Stourbridge??

Hi. I've asked this Q twice on other boards but I haven't had an answer. I really have tried to search but I'm reading a lot of conflicting stories so could somebody put my mind at rest once and for all. I have filled out the first 2 pages of MCOL but then bottled it!

This account is with Royal Bank of Scotland. It is a CLOSED account. It was a student account interest free.
It was opened in Inverness, but I studied in Stourbridge England, which is where I now live permanently. I have sent my Subject Access Request to Inverness, my duplicate statements came from Inverness, I sent my Prelim and LBA to Inverness, all correspondance up until now has come from Inverness but during a phone call the lady said it had now been transferred to another department higher up.
Now I am filing MCOL do I need an English address for this bank because I have spotted a London postcode on some of the old paying in slips but I cannot trace it on Royal Mail. The only address I can find is the Edinburgh one.
Please can somebody advise. I wanted to get this filled out before the money programme comes on at 10pm, also it will then definately get processed by the court tomorrow.

Thanks in advance.

Hi I have thread on All&L , I live in Scotland and I am in the process of claiming £5500 in two separate MCOL's (first for appox £3000 and the second for £2500).I was advised by a moderator(Caro) that I must settle first claim before sending Prelim letter for second part of claim as the defendant can ask the court to group both claims together ,this would take it abouve the £5000 threshold.I was advised by another CAG member (living in Scotland and had just a succesful MCOL) that an English address is required to complete the MCOL,however he simply used a friends address in England. He told me that you must be aware that an appearence in court may be needed so I am using a friends Londons address.I always assume a court appearence will be required, I can stay at his address which I assume would be close to any allocated court proceedings. As you now stay in England you are in the perfect position to use the MCOL service.
I will be filling in the MCOL in the next 3-7 days and am fairly confident that I can negotiate my way through it (never seen or done it before ) ......... I hope this helps you in some way..........I wont be resting my mind until I recieve a cheque from the blighters, go for it !!!!!!!!!

Just an update. I didn't need to file because RBS paid up via cheque. It arrived on Fri 29th Dec so it is in the process of clearing.
Beforehand I had actually phoned the MCOL help desk and the lady said I wouldn't be able to bring a claim against a Scottish bank through them, I would have had to raise the action at my local Court, who would have served papers on the Scottish address.
Luckily I don't have to go through that now.
Good luck with your claim anyway.
