Hi I am new to this and I am finding it very hard to understand the site and consumer forms. I have printed off the forms to read but I am still unsure of what I should be doing next. Any help navigating the site and how to do things would be appreciated.

Hi Cp1949 & welcome th Lloyds forum,
So you're "only" claiming £345.00. Compared to some on this site, true, that isn't a big claim, BUT I'm sure it's better in your pocket (or should that be sporran ) than theirs.

Just click here..I'm sure you'll find this thread useful:
http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...tml#post187455

You might want to read through this thread too: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/scotland/

You'll find everyone in here friendly & VERY helpful.

Best Wishes & Good luck with your claim.

PS If I've been helpful please give me scales a wee click

You need to input all the information into a spreadsheet (schedule of charges) and send that along with a preliminary letter found here.

6. Interest calculation spreadsheets

and

2. Letter - Preliminary approach for repayment.

Once you have won against Lloyds all the other institutions will seem like a walk in the park.

I have typed out the preliminary letter and the spreadsheet with dates of charges etc. hope I have done it right as it works out to more than I thought. Is there any way I can get you to check it out to see if I have done it right as I find it hard to believe that you can claim back the amount of the unpaid direct debits plus the interest calculated.

Dont add the 8% interest at this stage, this is done when you start court proceedings.

Is this your first letter to your bank (prelim letter)? If so do not add interest at this stage. Interest goes on when you submit your N1 claim to your local court.

I'm not sure of procedures north of the border, so you may wish to check out the links on my post (#4) above before you send off your letter.

I have used the spreadsheet from this site, only the interest on the left hand column has been added no other interest.

you need to remove all entries from the interest column until you submit your claim to court.

I only have experience of the advanced spreadsheet which appears to be the same used in England and Scotland have a look and see what you think. Fill out Charges and Interest sheet firstly. Then when its time, use the 8% sheet for court.

Imformation on spreadsheet download page states:

Simple versions will calculate the 8% APR only, to be used when filing court claim. Advanced spreadsheets will also help you to calculate the overdraft interest you have been charged by your bank, which you can request at the preliminary stage.

So advanced spreadsheet it is

I have looked at the advanced spread sheet and do not understand a word of it, its very confusing. I have filled up the easy one as its easier to understand. I have not added any judical interest, the interest added is what is automatic in the easier spreadsheet, therefore I am extremely confused as to what to do next.
