Default My experience with RBS

On the 2 instances when I've been hit with charges, I've just explained the situation over the telephone with the Watford branch where my account is held. On both occassions I've been given a full refund without any letters, or any threat of legal action. Both my brother and my mother, who have accounts with the same branch, have had similar experiences.

Is this unusual?

Good luck all of you who do have legal action planned, I hope it works for you.

I would guess it is quite unusual - certainly after reading hundreds of posts here that claim the opposite.

My own experience - with the Halifax - was certainly not like yours. But that doesn't mean we're not glad for you!

The charges levied on my account certainly don't compare to some of the sums being talked aobut on here, which may have had some bearing on the good outcome for me.

The way the banks kick you again and again when more likely than not, you are already down, is disgusting. I hope the action of the people on this site will have very positive reprocussions for all consumers in this country.

Best of luck, to all.
