Default Thinking of takeing on rbs but need some Q's answered first.

As above, I need to Q answered before i go any further.

I had a RBS Advanta credit card which i want to reclaim the charges from.

Q1. What charges can i apply to get back and can a default be removed as it was mainly the charges that caused it.

Q2. The only credit card i can find from RBS is the MINT card. i take it they have just changed the name so can i send my Data Protection Act letter to the person in charge of mint??

Q3. As i live in England and RBS is obviously scotish which court will i need to take them to??

Thanks in advance.

I think you need to do some reading.
Almost every question you can think of is answered in the FAQ and Libraries section.

I have read every part of the faqs a few times before i started my actions against lloyds bank, But nowhere in there does it ask or answer the questions above, other than the second half of the first question.

Meh! well if no one knows i'll just try it and see what happens! how wrong can it go!

Red face Re: Thinking of takeing on rbs but need some Q's answered first.

Hi there,

Q1. What charges can i apply to get back and can a default be removed as it was mainly the charges that caused it.

You can apply for your late payment, over limit and charges for bounced direct debits, for example if you were paying your monthly payment to your card by direct debit and they returned one due to insufficient funds and your cc charged you.

Q2. The only credit card i can find from RBS is the MINT card. i take it they have just changed the name so can i send my Data Protection Act letter to the person in charge of mint??

Not too sure about this but I would be inclined to give RBS a phone and ask.

Q3. As i live in England and RBS is obviously scotish which court will i need to take them to??

I think you can take them to a local Countly Court but if you phone your local court they will advise.

How wrong can you get it? well one chap on here served court papers on themself!!!

Is the RBS Credit Card business not run from Southend-on-Sea? Does that not count as the 'Branch' in this case? cf MBNA operating out of Chester? If that's so then rock on with MoneyClaim......
