| | Classic Account Customer | Argos and divan beds Hi Guys
Just need a bit of advice here.....
I bought my 3 daughters aged 16,14,12 a divan bad each from argos they were delivered approx 3 weeks ago
my youngest daughters bed broke the day after it was delivered i rang them and the lady sed they had recently changed manufacturers because they had a problem with these beds and they would replace it which they did, whilst cleaning my girls room yesterday exactly the same thing has happened to my youngest daughters bed(which is the hardboard under the mattress on the base has snapped) AND my middle daughters bed has done the same :o
I am not happy and just wondered what i could or should ask for there has been no problems with my eldest daughters bed as yet(touch wood) but i was wondering what i should say when i ring them again?
My daughters are teenagers only interested in thier hair and make up they are not young kids who jump about on thier beds i am not worried about getting them replaced as such because i will just throw S.O.G.A at them but what else should i be saying to protect myself?
Thanks all

Nothing much you can do until it happens, if it happens. You could say that you'd like the 3rd bed replaced as well since 2 out of 3 have had the same issue and you are worried about safety, but unless you catch the right person on a very good day, don't hold your breath it will get anywhere.

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Argos and divan beds I think your best bet would be to ask for a refund under Sale of Goods Act. Argos have had the opportunity to replace and this hasn't been successful so you next option is refund. You might have to write to them to achieve this.
Of course you could try and appeal to their better nature and ask for a replacement of a better quality bed as the ones they have been supplying are not of satisfactory quality.
