Angry Rubbish Management Company

Hi

I am absolutely furious with DIABOLICAL RUBBISH MANAGEMENT COMPANY who shall remain nameless for now.
I own a flat one of 16 in the block and have always received my reminders for service charges/ground rent on time so therefore have never missed a payment when it was due UNTIL NOW........ In Aug 2005 the freehold to the property was sold in auction and consequently the management company changed which shouldn't have been a problem but little did I know.
Everything was going fine until January 07 when I received a DEMAND for £550.00 buildings insurance back dated to Aug 05 when the DIABOLICAL RUBBISH MANAGEMENT COMPANY took over. As the terms of my lease state that my buildings insurance is included in my services charges I rang them up to tell them. After explaining it to somebody who I thought should have known this before they sent out the DEMAND I had to wait for them to check the details of my lease and ring me back. They rang back after about an hour to tell me that yes I was right and apologised for the mistake and to disregard the demand, which I did.
In February 07 I received another DEMAND from the DIABOLICAL RUBBISH MANAGEMENT COMPANY for £930.00 and this time they were demanding £550.00 (buildings insurance) plus £380.00 Service Charges/Ground Rent (yawn). I rang them yet again and spoke to the same idiot that I'd spoken to before got the same SORRY apologies and was assured AGAIN that a revised invoice would be sent out to me asap. I never heard from them until May 07 but wasn't too worried because we were in the process of selling the flat and my solicitor had told me not to worry about paying the service charges because he would be contacting the management company as the sale went through. The reminder this time was asking for yes you've quested it £930.00 and it also had AVOID LEGAL ACTION PAY NOW!!! written across the invoice, I cant tell you my thoughts at this time because they are not printable. I rang them again and spoke to the same idiot as before and heard the same SORRY apologies (blah blah blah) and was assured AGAIN that it wouldn't happen again because finally they were going to updated the computer, I thought great it's only taken them four and a half months to do what they should have done in January. On the 30th May 07 I received a letter form the DIABOLICAL RUBBISH MANAGEMENT COMPANY telling me that I had 14 days to pay £930.00 to prevent further action being taken, I'm now thinking that they are trying to drive me slowly insane all I wanted was a revised reminder so that I could pay my service charges was that too much to ask for...... in a word YES. I finally received the revised reminder on 6th June 07 it was dated 31st May but the idiots had sent it 2nd class mail so it took longer to get to me. Six days after receiving my revised reminder I received another reminder for £380.00 with AVOID LEGAL ACTION PAY NOW !!! (posted 2nd class) and then on 16th June I received a letter from them informing me that as I had failed to pay outstanding monies despite numerous reminders and letters being forwarded to me they had now passed the arrears on to my mortgage company. I rang them yet again but all I got was a load of crap does anyone out there have any suggestions on what I should do next?

Give everything to your solicitor and let him deal with it, since your paying him for conveyancing anyway ...
