certificate of service? can it be used for proof that you served the Notice of Possession under section 21(4)a. 2nd:-
whos name goes on the 3rd line, the person writing this form or the tenant you cliaming Possession agains't,,, where it says: a copy of which is attached to this notice was served on(insert name of....................... ....... http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/c.../n215_0106.pdf

if i was to hand this to the tenant in person, what form do i need as proof that i served the notice?
am i correct in saying if it goes to court, they will need proof that it was givin to the tenant?

As Mr shed says take it to the post office and obtain proof of postage, you can go one step further and go to a different post office and do the same in sending the notice, obtain proof of postage on the same day.
There is plenty of case law about serving a notice, once its posted it is deemed served, regardless if the tenant claims they didn't get it. |
