Landlord leaving TVs in house Hello
I recently moved into a fully furnished rented house and to my shock, the landlord has left behind a large TV and a portable TV, along with 2 VCR's. Now, I know that it is a fully-furnished flat but I thought leaving TVs would be pushing it a bit. Anyway, that is not really why I am posting.
When I moved into my last flat which was also basically fully-furnished, the landlord there commented that the only thing they didn't have in the flat was a TV because if they did they would be liable to pay for the TV license. So my question is, is this true? As the landlord has left 2 TVs (I have 2 of my own so I have had to store his away) is he then liable to pay for the TV license? My boyfriend phoned the letting agency who are acting as agents for the landlord, and they said he left them because there were a couple of months left on the tv license? but surely he should have just cancelled it? I have transferred my own TV license to my new address.
Any help would be apprecaited, thanks
