 companies offering to buy council houses?
about 3 years ago I got offered £15,000 to use my right to buy 9which gives me a discount of £38,000, my flat and move out, and after the two year waiting period this company would have owned my flat clear. I was never quite sure how they did it as I can't see a way in law for them to do, although it must be some kind of trust law.
Anyway I turned down this offer and the council have now put a 5 year wait on selling the flat after buying it using right to buy to try and sto these companies.
Has anyone else had any dealings with these companies, are they dodgy?
