Default help with court question

Hello i have taken my ex landlord to court over non payment of deposit and he has until 3rd July to defend himself .

my question is

iIissued the summons to the address where i was renting (
the landlord still owns the house and collects his mail when required ) and not where the landlord is liviing.

Do i have to re issue the summons to the landlords address or press for judgement on friday!!
Thankyou
Hines 316

YOU'VE taken the LL to court for non-payment of rent - shouldn't you have been paying LL the rent? Do you mean non-return of deposit?

Also the summons will not have necessarily been served correctly if you sent to the rental address - it has to be the LL's address or place of business.

Suggest you check with the court if AOS has been received & if you've used wrong address if you can serve docs. yourself or have to reapply. The court will not serve again to a different address if it's your error.
BTW did you send a LBA letter & to which address?
