Default housing act 1985 sec 85
we recently had a notice of seeking possion because of rent arrears
these were paid by a member of the family so we owe nothing
we went to the local council to show we had paid up the arrears and they told us that the possession order still stands and he would not withdraw it is this right?
we are on benefits that ony get paid to us every 2wks and our sons cover the rent at the end of each mth as we dont much hb about £9 per week whats rights do we have this guy refused us to talk to the person we normally deal with also said we are in breech of agreement because we pay at different times if the mth
what can we do?
