Hi, myself, hubby and 10yr old daughter have been privately renting a house for two years, on 6 monthly AST's. We have just been given two months notice, as the owner is returning from overseas to live in the house. We have some poor credit history, including a CCJ but have been debt free for two years. Unfortunately the history and hubby being the only wage earner is making it difficult for us to find another letting agent willing to accept us. We have contacted the council to apply to go on the housing register. If we cannot get another letting agent to accept us and it gets close to the two month notice being up, what do you think our chances are of getting council accomodation?
