Default Sorry if this is vague, I'm trying to pre-empt...

Ok, the situation is a bit complicated, bear with me.

DD shared flat no 1 with 2 friends. Bills are split 3 ways.

DD moves out with 2 other friends after 10 months in flat no 2, all paid up to date at flat no 1 that she is aware of.

Those 2 friends' tenancy is due to run out after a couple of months, and the plan is all 3 will then get a flat together, which they do. The first 2 girls also move out when the year is up and get a flat together. Flat no 1 is now empty.

DD call me the other day, mother of one of current co-lodgers has received a letter at HER home from "bailiffs", apparently, letter for DD went to flat no 2 and landlord redirected to mum.

I have told DD to get mother to send me the letter asap so I can ascertain who it is from and what for. I suspect that it is a DCA threatening bailiffs and that they are on a fishing expedition, but I don't know what for, although I reckon the first 2 girls didn't pay up bills up to date when they left and that they are now pursuing DD, or trying to, as that was the only address they had. We shall see.

More anon.

Had a former G/F who had a bit of a run around after leaving her uni accomodation, within a year had DCAs writing. it all turned out to be utilities from years before, tenant with a similar name and a possible easy victim.
